MILES & HILLMAN of Lydney & Ayleford (General)

Hi, The Mary A MILES shown in the 1871 census listing here is my maternal Greatgrandmother - Mary-Ann MILES, her birth cert shows she was born in Lydney on 21.09.1866, father Charles MILES (pickler in tin works), mother Ester MILES (formerly HILLMAN). Mary-Ann MILES married Thomas ABBOTT-BECK in Hull, East Yorkshire on 13.06.1886. She lived in Hull for the rest of her life. In the 1901 census her brother John MILES (age 46, born Lydney) is staying at the same address in Hull. How Mary -Ann came to leave the Forest of Dean and live in Hull is a mystery, does anyone have any family information? I have some information on ABBOTT-BECKs if this is useful to anyone.
