Abraham Yemm/Yeme marriage to Abigail c 1784 (General)

Has anyone come across this marriage or is anyone connected to this couple?

I believe that Abraham was baptised 6/10/1759 Ruardean and so far I have found the following children for Abraham and Abigail -

Richard bapt 18/9/1785 Ruardean
Mary bapt 5/11/1797 Flaxley
John bpat 29/6/100 Flaxley

It appears that Abraham died in 1815 (buried 11/1/1815 age 54) and then Abigail married John Voice 15/6/1810 at Walford. Abigail Voyce was buried age 79 on 6/11/1848 at Ruardean.

I think that Richard Yemm bapt 1785 may be the father of Edmund Yemm who is my 2x great grandfather but there was more than one Richard Yemm born around that time so I am still not sure.

Paul

Thanks so much for this - for some reason I had only been searching the IGI for Gloucestershire and Monmouthshire and so had missed this completely!

Thanks again

Hi
It is a year or two since I looked at this but my gggf was also Edmund Yem and I too got stuck with his father who could have been one of 3 Richards. From memory one died very young and the other raised the possibility of Richard being born after his father had died. My father was Alan Yemm, his father was Arthur, his father Edmund and his father Edmund who married Sarah. I have quite a lot of info I can look out and share if it is of interest. Chris Yemm.
