'Finishing School', Coleford (General)

Thank you for your research Janet. I intend visiting Gloucester Records Office in due course.

Miss Blanch, according to my mother, was the aunt of Frank Blanch who was the chemist in Coleford. She lived in the road linking the road to Mile End with the road to Broadwell. I think it is called Union Road. I know the house she lived in but not the name.

My mother often spoke of the two Misses Brickdale who used to visit Scowles School regularly, very often bringing materials for the children to use and taking a great interest in their education.
