Localities in Newnham (General)

When looking at 1861 Census records of Newnham (RG9 /1756/111) in relation to my own John Thorne family roots, I would like to try and locate the following localities listed in those records.
Church Street (or Chapel, it's indistinct)
Under the Cliff (could that be the cliff at the back of St Peter's Church)
Tanhouse (my family were Tanners)

Tanhouse: Tanhouse Farm is on the A48 trunk road just outside Newnham on the route to Lydney after the railway bridge at Ruddle. The Tanning House still exists and is on the A48 just before the railway bridge at Ruddle (it looks like a big shed!). So not quite sure which was the Tanhouse.
Church Street is not known in Newnham today. Church Road goes from the juntion with the A48 by St Peters Church and along a lower road to again meet up with the A48.
Under the Cliff is more of a puzzle, but could possibly be from "The Beach" which is just off Church Rd with the junction for Severn St and going along towards St Peters Church. The other place could possibly be on the opposite side of the A48 from Underhill Farm. The land there stretches up to St Peters Church and there used to be some old cottages situated in what is now a field.

Thank you for the reply, the proximity to Ruddle is certainly valid, the family had been in that area in successive census. All localities mentioned were on the same census return so I presume they were adjacent. The one which is problematic, is the "Under the Cliff" listing which admittently is not clear but if my reference to St Peter's is false, then so also is the Church Street as they are in Newnham proper.
Which side of the A48 road heading southwest near Ruddle is the Tanhouse farm?

According to my Ordnance Survey Map of the Forest of Dean, there is a Tanhouse Farm shown, which will be on the right hand side of the road, when travelling on the A48 from Newnham towards Lydney. The farm is approximately half a mile out of Newnham and about a quarter of a mile from the railway bridge near Ruddle.

The current 1:25000 Os map of Wye Valley and Forest of Dean shows Tanhouse Farm
