Anton many thanks for this additional information. Does this information come from the 1881 census because I was unable to locate him. He doesn't appear in the marriage information on the FOD sight. rgds Ian

There are several Family Trees on the Ancestry website regarding Milson. Apparently his first wife was Ann Elizabeth Carey, ('Amey' has been mistranscribed on the Census), and they and their children emigrated to Canada. If you don't have access to Ancestry I can email the tree owners on your behalf for further information.

Bertha many many thanks for sending me all that information very much appreciated. I take you mean Ancestry.co.uk website, no I have not joined as yet as have only just started to investigate my wife's family.
If you could email those people on my behalf I would be grateful. I'm a very new to all this family tree process, so any help is very much appreciated.
