I'm not sure I've understood your question but maybe your query is in regards to Newland being the parish church or a non-conformist chapel.

Rev. J. J. Frobisher was the minister in 1837 of All Saints which is the Parish Church of Newland.

The names of non-conformist chapels of which we have records of are clearly stated to distinguish them from parish churches. A couple of examples are Lydney Primitive Methodist and Ruardean Congregational.

I apologise if I caused doubt with my question, I was not aware whether my transcript of the marriage referred to the Parish of Newland or specifically to All Saints Church the Cathedral of the Forest ( which I visited two weeks ago).
My sincere thanks for your advice, you have answered my question as to where and by whom my great grandparents were married on 13th May 1837 by J.J. Frobisher.
