Gurneys of Kempley (General)

I have just begun to research the family of my grandmother, Beatrice Gurney who was born in 1886. The 1871 census shows her grandfather, Abraham and her mother Catherine, living in Kempley. They had five children then, including a John Gurney who was 19.
Has anyone got links to this family? John is shown on the 1891 census to be living in Lancashire, nr Bolton.
