George Cook (e) (General)

Following my post about Jessie Cook I am particularly interested in her Husband George Cook`s side of the family.
George Cook married Jessica Brown Phillips 23rd July 1891 in London
William Cook married Sarah Powell in Lydney 19th October 1780
There are many more Cooks in between, but I am just beginning to do this search and it will take years i suspect.
I know now that the Cook family seem to have lived mostly in Alvington before gravitating to Lydney in later years,
Any information will be greatly appreciated,
