James POWELL and Elizabeth THOMAS marriage (General)

I have been trying to work out why tom is not there in the census for months!
Your answer is not beyond the realms of imposibilty.
As my grandmother kathleen tinton died when my father was only 3 or 4 years old , much of our knowledge is either missing or unreliable. My father was moved to live with another relative away from the family. I will try and answer your questions if I can. James Powell and Elizabeth Thomas (maddox) were married in Lydbrook. They give Bachelor and Spinster although I know she was a widow! My aunt in edge end thinks that james was previously married.
