Has any come across Ann on the 1841 census when she would have beeen about 15. Her father William murdered her mother Sarah (see James) in May 1829 when Ann was about three. Also, was there a workhouse in the Ruspidge/Cinderford area that she may have entered at the age of three.

Westbury Union workhouse is where I'd anticipate - but need to check the dates etc first !

Up to 1834
A parish workhouse was erected on a site at the north of Westbury 1789-90.

After 1834
Westbury-on-Severn Poor Law Union was formed on 28th September 1835.
