Please could anyone help with information of the parents of my great grandfather, Charles Martin (b 1841) who married Mary Smith (b 1839). I believe they are from the Forest of Dean area but cannot find anything else about them.

Many thanks to you and ChrisW for sorting out my great, great grandparents (James and Hannah Davis). I notice that James was a widower when marrying Hannah, which means I'll need to research the previous marriage, although my great grandfather's mother would have been Hannah.
I always thought the Martin family were butchers or grocers from the Mary Smith marriage link but from the Bayhams Farm address it looks likely that farming was part of the family history as well. As my local knowledge is rather limited, I've no idea where Baynhams Farm nr Littledean is or if it's still a farm today.
