Have you tried www.genebug.net. Patsy McMillan and a fried have transcribed Gloucestershire inquests covering 1722 to 1838. I have found my Forest ancestors on there. Also some from across the river in Berkeley

Hi again

I realise 1838 is before the date you are looking for but if earlier ones exist there is a chance some later ones do too.

If you are unable to find inquest transcripts on any of the websites for that year. Both the Forest of Dean and Gloucester Inquests records are held at the Gloucestershire Archives.

Unless the death was sudden, violent, suspicious, etc , then there may not be a need for a formal Inquest.
