Hello again Jackie. Yes, Alice Adams was the sister of Woodman Adams, daughter of Dinah and Robert Adams and niece to Albert Adams senior. Alice married Timothy Smith and emigrated to America where they had two daughters before Timothy's tragic death, I was thrilled to see the photograph of Alice which you posted on the forum Jackie. Alice and her two daughters are mentioned in Dinah's will. Dinah's second marriage was to a George Llewellyn. I believe they first lived in Furnace Bottom, previously housing Dinah, Robert and their family. Dinah and George then moved to Viney Woodside and took Alice and Bessie with them. Woodman, being the second eldest son, married Sarah Elizabeth Hale, they initially lived in New Road, Blakeney prior to moving to the family home in Furnace Bottom, some time between 1910 and 1914, when Dinah married George, their house was the last house on the left at the end of the lane, now Furnace Valley; I remember many fond trips as a child to the Forest from Cheltenham with my grandmother, Hilda Anice nee Adams and I recall visiting the house. I can provide more details of Woodman's family if you so wish. Albert senior and his family lived at Pitching/Pigeon Green, any idea where this was Jackie, I always thought it was in Furnace Bottom but I'm a bit confused over this?
