Baptism of Richard TRIGG (circa 1756)

Mikey

There are a LOT of Trigg's. The baptism you have found is from another line, it is for Richard Trigg son of Richard Trigg & Mary Risley. Richard Trigg & Mary Risley had 9 children including Benjamin who married Priscilla Welch, who is the subject of another thread seeking to establish which Benjamin was which.

As Slowhands has indicated it is thought that Benjamin Trigg who was the father of "your" Thomas Trigg who married Sophia Jane Baldwin was the son of Richard Trigg & Elizabeth Jenkins. Unfortunately with the limited information recorded at this time, it is not possible to be 100% sure and judgements have to be made based upon the information that is available.

Hi Susan

I have the same information as you plus a few more children born to Richard Trigg & Mary Risley; Thomas 1785 was the second Thomas, the first baptised 14 Nov 1762 buried 19 Jul 1782. I also have 2 Richard's, the first baptised 2 Nov 1755 buried 24 Nov 1755, the second baptised 31 Oct 1756 married Mary Fox 1775, then Elizabeth Jenkins 1778 - children born to Richard & Elizabeth as per the earlier posting by Slowhands.
