Missing Census information (General)

by JennyRaw1, Monday, November 16, 2009, 04:32 (5561 days ago)

Am looking for 1841 Census which may have Thomas & Esther (Hester) Davis born about 1772. Also have 9 children of the above couple but there is a massive gap from 1794 to 1801, so am undoubtedly missing some there. Any ideas?

Thanks Jenny

To help with the searh, do you know where Thomas and Esther/Hester Davis were born and any of the children's names.

Thomas was born in either Newent, or Rock Worcs and I don't know where Esther (Hester) was born. I think they were married at St Mary De Lode.

I am also trying to trace Ellen Davis, born Hartpury in 1829. In 1851, she had an illegitimate daughter - Alice and then they seem to disappear.

Thank you

Maybe, but the ages don't quite match. How accurately did people know their age?
