Search for the parents of James Morgan (General)

by jam1401, Monday, March 13, 2006, 07:49 (6830 days ago)

Hi,

I have managed to track my family back to 1825 using census information and I am looking to see if anyone might have some later information on the family. I am looking for the parents of James and Abiah Morgan (my ggg grandfather). I don't know Abiah's maiden name but I know they were married in 1847 both are from the forest of dean, the early census entries put them in Hinders Lane.

Here is the information I have
James Morgan - Born May 28th 1825
Married to Abiah Jan 24th 1847
Died Feb 15th 1903

Abiah - Born March 8th 1830
Died Aug 21 1920

James was a Coal miner, he and Abiah had a number of children
Charles
Ellen (I)
Joseph
William
Mary
Ellen (II)
Alfred (my gg grandfather)
Emily
James (known as Tom)
Henry
Fred
Albert
Ruben

Thanks for any information on James and Abiah

Jeff

I'm pretty sure and have based some of my research on that assumption ( but have flagged it as that in my notes)...

Esther Prosser

slowhands thanks for the confirmation on Eleanor Jones

I think I have found the maiden name for Esther who married James Snr (1794.

If I am correct it is Esther Prosser c1789 and from there I have arrived at the parents of James Snr

William (1748) and Charlotte Matilda Hayworth Webb (1789)
