Eliza Agnes Rook (nee Prosser) - place of birth stated in census as Usk, Monmouth. Born 1838 or 1839 died 1897 in Sheffield. Moved with her husband and children from Coleford to Sheffield in the late 1870s.

Her daughter, Agnes, born 1869 in Coleford, died 1921 in Sheffield, with her is her first child Agnes May born 1896 in Sheffield and who died in Sheffield in 1954.

The photograph was taken around the end of 1896 or the beginning of 1897.

Louisa Jane Rook
Born 1878 in Sheffield. Daughter of Thomas and Eliza Rook, she never married and became a head teacher.

She is one of 6 children, only two of whom were born in Sheffield, the older ones were all born in Coleford.

The Family lived at Harry Hills Drybrook around 1894 and were still there on the 1911 census
My grandmother was Emily Elizabeth Kettle
All of the men were employed at a local colliery

I have a Frederick Kettle in my family tree born 10 Sep 1914, which fits with the baptism shown on this web site - copied below. He married Gwinneth Maud Evans in 1941. Can you tell me if this is the same family as shown in your picture.
