Stephen Howells 1859 - 1918 (General)

by Rosemary Howells, Friday, April 30, 2010, 23:36 (5399 days ago)

I am looking for Stephen Howells parents, he was married to Hagar Jones 1863 - 1944 they had two children: (1) Leonard Stephen Howells 1890-1960 who married May Edith Ellway 1883-1945. (2) William Howells 1884. They resided in Yorkley CourtFar

Leonard Stephen Howells and May Edith Ellway had four children 1. Stephen Aubrey Howells 1914-2007 (my father) 2.Martin Howells 1916-1917. 3. Leonard Tony Howells 1917-1971. 4. Ashleigh Donald Martin Howells 1920.

My Father was born in Yew Tree Cottage, Yorkley Glos.he also went to Yorkley Grammer School.

I know all of them came from the Forest of Dean to date I have been unable to trace Stephen Howells. He is buried at Parish Chapel Parkend. I am also a member Ancestry.co.uk together with my my Mother Barbara Grace Howells (nee Chaffe) we have been unable to make a match.

I hope someone is able to give me some help.

Thank you very much for all the information, my Mother and I will have to study this very carefully. Before my Father Stephen Aubrey Howells passed away in 2007 he and my Mother Barbara went to English Bicknor as it was close by to where they live in Monmouth. My Father decided that it was not a match after looking at grave sites also they had met up with a living relative of the English Bicknor Howells.

I live in Canada so will be having a long interesting phone call with my Mother tomorrow.

Thank you
Rosemary Howells
