You are right about the 1861 Census, but you can perhaps guess my interest ............wait for it

John Bennett bapt. 8 Mar 1795 who married Lydia Burdock 1 Apr 1829 Ruardean was the son of Richard Bennett 1763 and Ann Marfell 1766 married 16 Oct 1789 Walford.

However, I never would have made the leap to Elizabeth Bennett Burdock who married Alfred Bickerton, even though I had the evidence already in the census data :

The baptism for Lydia Burdock 7 Apr 1799 Upleadon parents Thomas and Ann. The baptism for Thomas Burdock 28 Jan 1801 Upleadon who is the father of Elizabeth Bennett Burdock who married Alfred Bickerton. My guess is that there is another Bennett connection other than the fact that his sister Lydia married a Bennett, given that he gave his daughter a second name Bennett. Could this be another challenge ?
