I'm not sure if this has been publicized here but there are some interesting photos from about 7 locations in the Forest

Sorry I must be dumb but could not get any Forest of Dean photos to come up. Also put in Gloucestershire but nothing.

Do you need a certain programme to use this site

Thanks
Rita

Pretty simple. Click on the link given. It comes up with UK history photo finder. Press 'get started'. Enter location such as "Forest of Dean", press "go" and click on the yellow tear drops on the map to find your photos.

I had similar problems until I inadvertantly placed the cursor over the "compatabilty view" button , extreme top right on the IE8 screen . One click and all is well . Excellent but seems only to work at its preferred map scale

Use the map. Go West to Gloucestershire and a bit North and areas for which photo's available are marked on map.
