HARRIS family (General)

by staceybartonhouse, Friday, August 20, 2010, 13:53 (5214 days ago)

Hi,

My grandmother was Sheila G Harris from FoD and I've discovered that her parents were Hubert Henry Harris (1902-1971) and Edith May Morgan (1899-1972) but am looking to trace more of the Harris family.

Can anyone help?

Sarah PRICE - West Dean

Hi,

I'm not even sure if the info I have is right but I've come to a dead end in my family tree. . .

Edith May Morgan 1899-1972 is my great grandmother. As far as I know, her parents were John Morgan & Sarah Price.

It's Sarah Price's family that I am struggling to trace. I believe her parents may have been Samuel & Sarah from the FOD area??

Sarah & John W Morgan

by staceybartonhouse, Tuesday, November 23, 2010, 15:58 (5119 days ago) @ bartonhouse

Hi,

I'm trying to trace my ancestors from the FoD but am stuck.

I'm currently looking into 'Sarah' who I think was born in West Dean circa 1859 and had children with John W Morgan. I can't find evidence of a marriage but have the childrens names: Nellie, Thomas, Ernest, Annie & Edith.

If anyone has any info I'd greatly appreciate it.

The parents of Sarah Price were Samuel Price born 1824 Bream and Sarah Phipps born 1820 Bream. They married 30 Oct 1847 and had 6 children that I've found
George b. 1848
Thomas b. 1850
Ann b. 1852
Harriet b. 1854
SARAH b. 1858
James b. 1862

In the 1861 census Samuel's occupation was given as collier and local preacher.

Sarah Phipps had 2 illegitimate children before she married Samuel - Moses Phipps b. 1841 Bream and Elijah Wilson Phipps b. 1842 in Blakeney.

Sarah Phipps was sister to my GGGrandfather George Phipps who married Charlotte Kear 15 Apr 1843.
