Richard Harris, born 1797-1801 (General)

Parish records show Richard Harris married Sophia Roberts in 1825 at the Walford Parish Chapel, although both bride and groom were listed as residing outside the parish. They produced 4 daughters while living in Lydbrook, including my GGM Prudence, before Sophia died in 1836 at the age of 32.

Richard remarried in 1838 to Susanna Tillen in her home village of Whitchurch, Herefordshire. They produced another daughter and by the 1851 census they were also living in Lydbrook. They appear again in the same place in the 1861 census. By 1871, Richard is living alone in Lydbrook but he too disappears by 1881.

This would seem to give a reasonably narrow window on Richard's demise but I can find no record of his death/burial. Even though the age he gave to each census taker shifted somewhat -- corresponding to birth years between 1797 and 1801 -- there is no death of any Richard Harris whose age is compatible with that range of birth dates. Can anyone help?
