Theophilus EVANS 1828 (General)

by GoldenOldie2 @, Monday, August 23, 2010, 00:54 (5212 days ago)

I found my 3rd great gfather Theo's burial in the Parish records no 274367 as being buried in Monmouth, 1 July 1828 when he was 37 years old.
As he was a fisherman, I assume he had an accident, but how can I find out more....for instance, which church he was buried in and what records were available for then? Were there any newspapers then, or would the church records give a cause of death at all?
His daughter, my 2nd g gmother was born just a week before his burial, maybe brought on by the shock of the death, but it seems strange.

Many thanks
Carol
