Price family from Fernley Cottage

by Trev, Monday, October 18, 2010, 23:06 (5155 days ago) @ slowhands

Can anyone help please? Arthur Henry Price was born abt 1894 Alvington Gloucs, I believe he place was Fernely Cottage and in 1911 he was living in Paddington London working as an Electrical Engineer. Rumour has it he moved back to Fernley Cottage Alvington but died before 1952. Does anyone have any information please and I wondered what the history of Fernley Cottage might be. Arthur had a brother Alfred.
Any help would be appreciated, Thank you.

I had Great-Grandparents Edward and Sarah Price, Sarah died 1952. Edward was a coal miner from Garden Crescent South Normanton Derbyshire. They had my grandmother Sophie who died 1963 who married Willie Rowe or Roe b 1893.
Is it pure coincidence or did Edward travel north in search of mining work?
Willie roe moved about a lot changing pits in Derbyshire and Notts, my dad and I were miners in Annesley Nottingham
