I wonder if anybody has any information about the school at Ross which my mother Amy Badham and some of her sisters attended.
My mother would have been a pupil from about 1908.
I remember her saying that there were 2 rooms in which the children were taught, and she was the bell monitor.
I visited Ross around 15-20 years ago and tried to find the school.
A local resident who I asked said that the school was no longer there.

My Great Grandfather was William Creed born in Thornbury Glocs.
I would be interested to know who you are descended from, whether it was one of his siblings?

I have quite a lot of information on the Creed family.
I don't know how George Creed, William's son, my Gt Grandfather came to move to Bishops Wood, but I suspect as he was an agricultral labourer he moved to find work.
I would be interested if anyone has any information on Queach Cottage, Bishops Wood, which was where they lived.
Is it still there as it is an unusual name?
I believe a queach was a rise in land?
I believe Mary Ann, Georges wife lived there until she died. I would have thought that the cottage went with his work, but evidentley not.
She was in her 80's when she died.
