1935 Westbury Marriage

I have read the notices regarding time frames of marriages but I was wondering if you could give me my Grandparents marriage details. The information I am seeking is my Grandfather's Father's name. I have asked my Grandmother, and she thinks his name was Bruce, but I can find no records of a Bruce Jones. The details I have are:

Thanks Slowhands. My Nan is 94 today. She has told me when she got married but it's my Gramps Father's name I am after. She thinks it was Bruce but I can't find him anywhere.

As far as I am aware we have all the 1935 marriages in the website database as that year is not inside the the 70 year cut off policy we have for marriages.

I am unable to find the marriage in our records but it would help if you were to tell us which church your Nan got married in. You have told us the marriage was in the Westbury-On-Severn district but there are many parish churches within this district. Did the marriage by any chance take place in a Registry Office?

It looks like you will have to obtain a copy of the actual marriage certificate to find out the information you want.

Thank you for all your help.
I just assumed that they married in one of the parish church's (very wrong of me!)
My Grandfather was born in Pentre, Wales in 1916. He died at home in Cheltenham in 1997.
My Nan is still living and she has given me all the information she can but I still can't get any further. I have no problems tracing my Nan's side of the family, it's my Gramps that's the problem.
I will order a certificate this week.
