Sarah and John Williams (General)

by Dewey, Saturday, May 13, 2006, 13:00 (6769 days ago)

Will SKS with access to the 1841 census have a look for a John Williams with a daughter Sarah in the household who would be about 12 with the possibility of a little older or younger. Probably in or near the FOD area but not for sure.
Thank you,
Dewey

Whilst In Stroat

John Williams abt 1781 Gloucestershire, England Tidenham Gloucestershire
Sarah Williams abt 1791 Tidenham Gloucestershire
John Williams abt 1811 Gloucestershire, England Tidenham Gloucestershire
Mary Williams abt 1806 Tidenham Gloucestershire
Sarah Williams abt 1838 Tidenham Gloucestershire
Jane Williams abt 1840 Tidenham Gloucestershire
Sarah Williams abt 1828 Gloucestershire, England Tidenham Gloucestershire

The enumerator marks are a little confusing , it loooks like Sarah 1828 is living in a separate "room" or "dwelling" to the other Williams.....

slowhands,
Thank you for the lookup. I am trying to follow up on the Sarah Williams who married John Yemm on June7,1855 and is mentioned in your March posting.

Ah, well given the Harry Hill location for the YEMM's and East Dean given by Sarah in later Census records, my guess would be the Ruardean "Hill" Sarah rather than the Stroat Sarah.

I think your deduction of Ruardean is probably right for my great grandmother, but proving it is another question as there are quite a few Williams in that "neck of the woods" or should I say forest. But in any case thanks for your help.
