Yes there was a Fishers outfitters shop in the main street through Lydney, opposite the "picture house" nr junc of Hill St and Swan rd.(?) { There was also a Fisher's shop near the Cross in Gloucester - I wonder if they are related )

Just checked on Ancestry Public Members Tree - this DAINTON/FAMILY are on there. Sent an email via Ancestry - see if they reply and hopefully answer your questions.

Elizabeth Mary Dainton married George Fisher 1888 and they had two sons. George W and Albert James.

I know that he was an Outfitter, starting his training at 13 in 1909 and starting his own business in Lydney in 1919. He married Beatrice Barron in 1920 and had 3 children, James, Christian and Verna.
