There is in existence a few UK Census Returns 1801-1831

Taken:

10 March 1801
27 May 1811
28 May 1821
30 May 1831

Along with Land Tax Records and Records of the Overseers of the Poor, this may be of use to some Researchers.

I think the emphasis is on "few" - that survive - and of course the detail was pretty limited in pre-1841 returns.

If you are lucky they have limited help - i.e. head of household and size of family :-(
