Pencraig (in both Goodrich & Marstow) (General)

I'm attempting a dissertation for an Open University History MA (its early days yet) and have chosen to look at Pencraig, since it's where I grew up. Have initially started to crunch the 1841-1901 census information, gathering kinship connections, tracking occupations, landlords/tenants, etc. My period is likely to be between these census dates, since this fits the brief for study.
Firstly:Many Many Thanks to those who are transcribing the relevant PRs, I'm very grateful for your work!
Secondly: If any contributors or viewers on this forum have ancestors connected to Pencraig, (the census spellings are many and various) I would love to hear from them. Anything, however trivial, will add to a picture of life in the village.
Thirdly: I live in the area (again), if I can help anyone track headstones or houses, I'd be happy to help.

Judith, I have just read your message but am probably too late to be of any help now. My husbands family all came from that area and were mainly carpenters and farmers , although there were some fishermen and Innkeepers !.

No, not too late at all, still researching for the project. If you would like to get in touch and let me know the names of families, I will respond with my email address. My interest is because I grew up in Pencraig. Having researched for the past few months, I feel like I know most of the previous inhabitants personally!

So that's the Prices of Glewstone Boat Inn, then? Have we been in touch earlier, about the headstone in Goodrich Church? Forgive the terrible listing below, it comes from my master spreadsheet, but doesn't translate well! Details are essentially - Names, DOB (or baptism), place of birth or baptism, Parents' names, father's occupation. Followed by whereabouts (if appropriate) at each census, date of marriage, date of death, place of burial (if known).

Have photo of family memorial headstone at Goodrich.
