Fanny HAWKINS burial 1926 (General)

by Llangrove @, Pennsylvania U.S.A., Saturday, November 20, 2010, 01:44 (5122 days ago)

I've been searching for the burial record for Fanny (nee'Hawkins) HAWKINS, born 1837, w/o Richard HAWKINS. I found the inquest record, that states she died "20th day of February 1926 at Joyford Lonk". I assume she was buried at Christchurch, but can find no record. Any ideas as to why? Thanks!

Have just checked the original register and can confirm it is Fanny Hawkins. The way the F is written it looks very much like an H !!

Thanks, Graham! Do you want me to submit a change request, or have you taken care of the transcript? Thanks again; all sisters, now present and accounted for!

Cynthia

We have a system in place for making corrections to the database, so it is very important that you still submit a change request.

On this occasion, I have read the message posted by Graham that the name is Fanny but if I were to miss reading his message and no correction request was submitted the database would remain the same and the name would never be corrected.

By submitting a correction request it ensures that the matter gets attended to.

Done!
David, and the scores of volunteers that work so hard to make this site so wonderful....a heartfelt, Thank You! Sometimes we may encounter minor "bumps in the road", but it never fails to amaze me, how quickly someone comes to the rescue and offers help or a solution! When I talk to fellow researchers, I admit to having a smug smile on my lips! The FoDFH site makes my research so much easier, than what others, I know, must endure! Well done!

Regards,
Cynthia

We have a special form for this purpose which you can submit in order to get the record changed on the Web site database.

If you find an entry that you consider differs from the original parish record or if you believe it has been transcribed incorrectly, please provide us with the details by using the Parish Records Correction Request form which is available by going to the "Contact Us" link. We will check out your request and amend that record if it is found to have been incorrectly transcribed and will update the details on the Website.

Maggie Amelia HAWKINS 1883 - 1903

by Llangrove @, Pennsylvania U.S.A., Thursday, January 03, 2013, 01:29 (4347 days ago) @ slowhands

This ancestor has been a mystery to me for far too long!

Maggie Amelia HAWKINS is listed in both the 1891 and 1901 Census as grand-daughter, living in the household of Richard HAWKINS, The Lonk. I've been able to find the following information but still have no clue who was her mother. Does anyone have any suggestions where to go from here? Thanks!
