After I visited the Forest several years ago one of the residents I spoke to kindly sent me the following information which may/may not be generally known to researchers of this branch of their family tree.
Mr. Edward Meek married Sarah Meredith. Their family of twelve were:-
Mabel.
Mildred.
Gertie.
Polly.
William.
George.
Edward James. Lived at the Rope Walk, Ruardean, Home of one of the Horlicks Family.
Lewis. Killed in WW1. Name on Memorial Tablet in Ruardean Parish Church.
Lionel.
Bert.
Conrad.
Howard. Married Olivia Goode. They had two daughters, Yvonne and Pamela.
Yvonne married Keith Sainsbury. Pamela married Roger Jewell.
These were the details as sent to me. I also received a photo of Edward James Meek and his wife (name unknown) which I am unable to put onto this site at the present time.
