Apologies if I have broken into these threads in the wrong order, it is not clear to me where I should do it.

All the references to the marriage of William WILLETTS (b1798) to Sarah allude to a Sarah GRIFFITHS, but when I search for his marriage on the FoD parish records to a Sarah in the 1820s the only result I can find is to Sarah JONES on 18 Sep 1825 (record ID 36134, entry Number 512). Can you explain where I am going wrong?

I note that people appear to be able to easily dump whole records in their replies. Is it easy to do this (I am a Mac user), or am I just being computer illiterate?

Thank you. This is William MILLETTS not WILLETTS; as I explained there is an entry for the actual William WILLETTS, also marrying a Sarah (JONES) which seems more probable to me. However it must be admitted that MILLETTS is a rarer English surname than WILLETTS, and Ms and Ws are easily confused, so perhaps this really was for WILLETTS. This leaves me with a lot of uncertainty as to Sarah's maiden surname!

I dont know if you are still looking for William Willetts but I believe he is the son of James Willetts who was the brother of my Great Grandfather, John Willetts. James and John's mother was Elizabeth Willetts who had 4 children as an unmarried mother. Their father was John James and they lived in Yorkley, FOD.

I have William and his wife Ruth in my tree in Ancestry.co.uk. But I have Ruth's maiden names as Ruth Elizabeth Willetts. My Ancestry username is daiwilletts.
