George MEEK 1837 Ruardean (General)

by jimashton @, Monday, January 03, 2011, 12:28 (5080 days ago) @ slowhands

This is getting very confusing - too many George Meek's. I have 28 in my family tree, but this does not include the Lettice Meek progeny, as I do not have her in my tree.

I do however have the George Meek 1775, whose baptism slowhands has included. Son of George Meek 1756 and Ann Meek 1747 (George Meek 1756 being son of George Meek 1714 & Margaret Teague 1718. However I have George Meek 1775 as dying in 1776. George Meek 1756 & Ann Meek went on to have another George Meek baptised in 1777. He went on to marry Mary Vaughan 1777 and they had 3 children including George Meek 1801 who I also have as dying young.

At the marriage between George Meek 1777 and Mary Vaughan, you will note below the witness James Meek, I believe this to be George Meek 1777's brother James Meek 1810 -baptism below. This James Meek 1810 went on to have a daughter Emma Meek 1841 who married Great Great Great Great Uncle Thomas Marfell 1842 - I just had to include the Marfell's somehow !!
