BEVAN of Tidenham (General)

Is anyone researching this family?
In particular I'm interested in the children of Susannah Bevan, who had a number of illegitimate children in Tidenham, including Edward Bevan b c 1810.
This Edward Bevan was tried and found guilty at Gloucester Assizes in 1838, and in 1839 he was transported to Tasmania. I have copies of his transportation records, if anyone is interested.
I am trying to ascertain whether this Edward Bevan was the same individual as the person tried at Gloucester Assizes in 1830 and 1831, shown as of Tewkesbury on both these occasions, and with a suggested birth date of 1807.
I need to rule the Tidenham Edward in or out, and any help would be appreciated.
The 1830 record shows Edward's name as BEVAN ALIAS MORFIELD. A William and Susannah Morfield were resident in Tewkesbury in 1841.

Does it state his occupation, status, ie. Single/married - ? Waterman travelling the Severn, between Tidenham/Gloucester/Tewkesbury. Edward BEVAN, Waterman, Tewkesbury, Goal 1830 Acquitted for Robbery in 1830

the 1838 entry on Ancestry, looks like Warehouse breaking, which would have probably been by the river.

Looking at the Gloucestershire Burial Index

St Mary's Tewkesbury

Susannah MOORFIELD - 4 January 1848, age 78 c1770 - address: St Mary's Lane

William MOORFIELD - 27 December 1845, age 78 - address: Smith Lane

There are about 9 BEVAN's burials for Tewkesbury listed.

3 baptisms at Gloucester St Michael of William (Waterman) and Elizabeth BEVAN

Mary Ann - 13 February 1825
Charles - 15 August 1830
Henry - 15 June 1834

and

1 baptism at Tidenham - John (Waterman) and Hannah BEVAN

Harriet - 10 November 1826

?

Edward BEAVEN married Emma BRUTON 5 October 1833, Gloucester St Nicholas

Hi and thanks for your reply, as ever, much appreciated.
I have the gaol record for the 1830 acquittal, which shows Edward Bevan alias Morfield aged 23 as a Waterman. The 1838 record was for warehouse breaking, and on the Tasmanian records, Edward is shown as a Labourer.
I have been unable to find a second birth record for Edward Bevan, though I have an alternative Susannah, nee Cole, the wife of Edward Bevan of Bushley. However, I can find no record of either this earlier Edward's death nor a marriage between Susannah Bevan and William Moorfield. (On the other hand, given William's age, this may not be surprising!)
I have the death certs for both William and Susannah Moorfield, William shown as 86 on the death cert, and Susannah as 78. Most likely candidate for William is the one baptised at Sandhurst in 1750, so he would actually have been 95.
The Moorfields seem to have been Watermen/Fishermen as well as the Bevans, which may explain why available records are so sketchy.
I have been struggling with unravelling this part of the family tree ever since I began researching, as info is so hard to come by, so even the smallest nugget may give me a clue where to look next.
