I am looking for help in researching my family from the Forest of Dean Raimund Hock was, we believe, a Clock / Watch maker of German decent we know he married Mahala Townsend on 25th March 1865 at the independent Chapel Coleford. Any further information on the Townsend's or Raimund Hocks time in Coleford would be appreciated.Thanks

Slowhands, that was brilliant and so quick, it has taken me years to get the marriage detail.
Is there anything about a Joseph Hock, father of Raimund?? he may not have come to Coleford we do not know, all the information we have is that he comes from Baden, Germany. Thank you once again.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE RESPONDED TO OUR REQUEST FOR HELP. LOTS OF NEW INFORMATION, PEOPLE AND DOCUMENTS FOUND. Once again many thanks to slowhand, m p griffiths and others from the F.O.Dean Family History.
We intend to come down to the Forest in the next couple of weeks to see if we can get a copy of a book published about the life in Coleford during the 1800 when Raimund Hock had his shop / buisiness in the Market Place.
