Harriet Baynham, DOB 1815 East Dean (General)

by maggiliz @, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, Saturday, January 29, 2011, 22:18 (5051 days ago)

I'm looking for her birth record. She married Charles Watkins in Longhope in 1838 - I have a copy of their marriage record which lists her father as John Baynham a farmer. I hitting a brick wall trying to find her birth record.I did a search of all Forest of Dean parish records but couldn't find her. Have all the parish records been transcribed?

In the 1851 census her birthplace is listed as East Dean. In 1861 Census her birthplace is listed as Watford, Hereford. She died in 1863 in Westbury-on-Severn.

Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank you for responding. I have the information on Harriet Baynham's marriage to Charles Watkins and all of their children.

I'd like to go back beyond to Harriet Baynham's parents, grandparents, etc. I've hit a brickwall in finding her birth record which hopefully will show the names of her parents.

Harriet's marriage record which I have indicates that her father was John Baynham and that's all I know.

Thanks again for your response.

Harriet WATKINS nee BAYNHAM,1815-1869 Walford - Upper Bilson

by maggiliz @, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, Monday, January 31, 2011, 18:04 (5049 days ago) @ slowhands

Thank you for the information.

Harriet Baynham born about 1815, married 1838, died 1869 - I have verified this information.

Possibly Harriet father is John Baynham born about 1787 in Newnham, Gloucestershire. It's her birth record I'm trying to find. I'm going to look at microfilms of parish records to see if I can find somethhing.

*John Baynham (1787) parents were possibly William Baynham born about 1757 married to Ann
*His grand parents were possibly John Baynham born about 1726 married to Elizabeth Lodge.
*His Great grand parents possibly William Baynham born about 1700 in Newnham, Glos married to Ann Pearce in 1725. He died about 1752 in Newnham, Glos.

*This information is from a possible living relative and has yet to be verified by documentation.

Thanks again for responding.

Looking at the Gloucestershire Births Index CD from 1813 - - there isn't a christening of a Harriet BAYNHAM (even with a different surname spelling) father John BAYNHAM
