The problem with James BRIGHT (General)
by maryl, Thursday, March 03, 2011, 17:20 (5018 days ago)
My 2xggf was one James Bright born in the Forest of Dean. c1800. Now about that time one James Bright was born in Ruardean in 1799 to James Bright and Phebe Roberts, and one was born in Newland in 1800 to Samuel Bright and Jane. These are the only two I can find born in that period. The problem is that there is a burial for James Bright aged 6 (which fits the first child) in Ruardean in 1805, but I cannot find out the names of the parents of this child. The Vicar officiating at the burial was the same as at the baptism but that is all. If only I can find this information I can move on. Can anyone suggest where I can look, or even perhaps someone out there knows the answer.

BRIGHT Family Westbury on Severn area
by maryl, Friday, March 04, 2011, 14:04 (5017 days ago) @ slowhands
Thank you so much for your help. I suspected I could rule out the Ruardean connection; but finding the right line is proving more than a little difficult. The Westbury upon Severn connection is there as my ggf William Bright and his siblings were born there. However finding the link is my next task. I need the marriage licence perhaps fro James and Harriett. Again thank you
