Percival Frederick George Tibbs born abt 1907 (General)
A request from my 98 year old mother-in-law who was born in Haywood Lane Cinderford and now lives in Cornwall, she had a moment of memory on Sunday.
Percival Frederick George Tibbs brn. abt 1907 in Cinderford. Parents:Henry George Tibbs and Edith Annie ?.
She has this belief that he married in Horsham Sussex to Helen Smith and then went to Australia to look after sheep! What else would one do?
His brother Harold Reginald Tibbs married Flora Nicholls in 1918 she being my husbands grand aunt.
I also have found other brother and sisters could anyone confirm them.
Olive Elizabeth 1904. William Alderman brn ? Marjorie Lillian brn ? Mary Edith 1913.

There is a marriage in the Westbury S. district dec quart 1903 vol 6a page 607 for Henry George Tibbs and Edith Annie Witts. Their children were:

I remember a Bill Tibbs who lived in Heywood,he worked for the Forestry Commision.Bill was a single man till quite late in life when he married Mary [Richards/Field] who was the landlady at The Heywood Inn.This was a second or third marriage for her.Bill is no longer with us.

I think you should consider changing your Slowhands name, definately the wrong description for you.
Again you have given me more to work on. I did not realise that Edith was not Harolds mother, so why does Ediths name appear on his baptism on this sight.
Also, what is the connection with the Cerne Abbas lot? After all this research it would be funny to find the Tibbs are related to me as well, my lot all come from Dorset, Tolpuddle and Corfe area with a few in Cerne.
