Mary Jane Allaway b. 1877 Ruardean (General)
by unknown, Friday, June 17, 2011, 17:49 (4912 days ago)
I have Mary in my family tree. 1881 and 1891 censuses show her with her parents Thomas and Eliza Allaway and siblings Tom, Joseph and Ernest.
However the transcipt on this website of the Ruardean parish records shows her chr. on 21st March 1877 and her parents as William and Louisa Allaway (William and Thomas were brothers)
is it possible for anyone to do a lookup or check of the original parish records please, or does anyone have any other info?
thanks
Hilary

It is quite possible of course to have 2 people of the same name born close together. I have Mary Jane Allaway 1877 in my Family Tree, but no baptism - not all children were baptised, but in this instance Mary Jane is the only one of the 8 children in her family that I cannot find a baptism for.
The Mary Jane Allaway I have is the daughter of Thomas Allaway born 12 Aug 1847, buried 12 Nov 1891, who on 8th 1868 married my 2nd cousin 3 times removed Eliza Parsons born 4 Mar 1849 died 17 Aug 1910, buried 21 Aug 1910.
Eliza Parsons 1849 was the daughter of Thomas Parsons 1824 & Letitia Williams 1829. Thomas Parsons mother was my 4 times great aunt Ann Herbert 1796.
