TEAGUE's from Berry Hill (General)

Hi all Teague researchers, from the will index and beneficaries stated on a will of Thomas Teague 1818 - 1878 Berry Hill Yeoman on this site, I was intrigued as to relationships so I sent for will from the probate registry.

a brief outline as follows;I appoint my nephew EDWARD TEAGUE and my cousin JAMES MADLEY TEAGUE executors
I give and bequeath all my goods chattels and effects in and about the house and premises where I now reside unto HARRIETT TEAGUE, widow of my late cousin GEORGE TEAGUE
to THOMAS TEAGUE, son of my nephew THOMAS TEAGUE the sum of one hundred pounds; to my nephew GEORGE TEAGUE the sum of sixty pounds; to my said nephew EDWARD TEAGUE the sum of fifty pounds; to my said cousin JAMES MADLEY TEAGUE the sum of forty five pounds; to the said HARRIETT TEAGUE the sum of twenty pounds; to FANNY TEAGUE [daughter of the said Harriett and George Teague] the sum of twenty pounds; to EDWARD SMITH, EMMA ADAMS, SUSAN WILLIAMS and ELIZA WEBB, the children of my deceased sister JANE the sum of ten pounds each; to MINNIE, ELIZABETH and SARAH, children of my nephew THOMAS TEAGUE the sum of ten pounds each; to all the children of my late sister MARY [wife of JOHN SMITH] the sum of five pounds each; to my sister ELIZA [wife of ELISHA SMITH] the sum of five pounds; to GEORGE, TOM, WILLIAM, and HANNAH [wife of WILLIAM MARTIN] the children of the said HARRIETT and GEORGE TEAGUE the sum of five pounds each;

From my research James Madley Teague is not a first cousin as such but his father George Teague of Trow Green is Thomas first cousin so that would make him first cousin once removed.

But I have no idea how George the husband of Harriett is a cousin first or second.

This puts a new perspective on the Teague lineage, anyone got any ideas...........
