Kilty/Coopey Family - 1881 census (General)

Hello mp,

This is just grand information, thanks again, a wee explanation about the Kilty spelling, here in Scotland it very much depended on what the registrar/enumerator or church cleric heard, and with Mary's family still having the Irish brogue to their accent, these men in Wigtownshire would have heard it many ways. While doing my family research via www.scotlandspeople.gov I found the family name under Kelty/Killy/ Kilty/Kiltie and at one point Kelly.

Today the spelling is Kiltie or Kilty on the west coast.
