My guess is that your prior GRAYELL/GREYELL/GRAYLE/GRAYL/GRAIL roots are back in the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire borders around Malmesbury and Chippenham

you might get more joy on a Wiltshire based board ( thats not to be taken as negative, just our passion and strength is mainly with thic Vorest !)

I am interested in the Grail family also. My ancestor was Henry Grail, born
in Malmesbury c. 1792. Henry married a Mary ?? who was born in Chippenham
and had the following children: Richard born c.1812-3 in Chippenham, Jane
born 1820-1 in Chippenham or Langley, Worthy born c. 1829 in Malmesbury,
and Henry born 1836 in Westport. This family moved to Alvington/Woolaston,
Gloucestershire and is found in the census records of 1841 to 1881. Worthy
Grail shows up on the 1841 census in this area but not on the 1851 or 1861.
He is listed as "Gorthy" on the "41 but I believe this to be an error. He
then shows up on th 1871 as married to an Elizabeth who was born in
Aulburton.

Would this family be related to yours ?
