Thomas MARFELL (1796-1859) Family Photos? (General)
Thanks to this wonderful website & it’s rich mine of information, I have recently been able to establish who my great grandmother was, having barked up completely the wrong tree previously! I am new to this but have found out so much quite quickly.
Thomas MARFELL (1796-1859) & Elizabeth HERBERT (1801-1880) are my x3 great grandparents.
Are there any photos of any of their (11?) children? I have some family albums but I’m having difficulty identifying who some of the people are. Thanks.

Thank you so much for your help. I should have said that I looked at the FOD site first and think I have everything that seems relevant, including the gravestones. I am particularly delighted with the Benjamin & Elizabeth Mason photo as I think he is a brother of my x2 great grandfather.
I am currently trying to date the photos in the albums I have which all seem to be of ancestors from the around the 1800s.
I did not know about the other site you recommend so will look at that with great interest, thanks again it's much appreciated.

You're most welcome !
The Sungreen site
http://www.sungreen.co.uk
Its only limitations are:
1. you may need to view each & every individual photo when looking for people, as the search engine will only find those notes/names that someone may have entered against the photos, there are many photos without names.
2. there is a Forum, but its very quiet.
However feel free to send queries to the site owner Geoff Davies as he's very helpfull. I guess the site's real "forum" is the feature that allows you to post notes & queries against the photos, this can become a "discussion" of sorts, or at least direct emails between interested parties. Just like the FoD FH site, all the posters are a friendly helpfull bunch.
If you like the site, have looked all over, yet still havent found what you're looking for; I strongly recommend you subscribe (free and easy) to receive any news of Updates/Additions straight to your email every month. You won't get spam etc, and its an easy way of ensuring your keeping track of all new additions to the site, especially important if you're looking for something or somewhere specific.
(NB and by coincidence I got such an Update email tonight !)
Happy Hunting !
ps re your dating your old photos there are websites that might help with this

Thank you Slowhands, this was the first place I looked and I have found many photos of interest. I am looking particularly for help identifying several ancestors I have in albums mainly dating during the 1800s. I have ancestors from the Ruardean and Frampton Cotterell areas that I am still discovering! Your help is much appreciated.

Good morning, I spent a long time last night enjoying the Sungreen site you mentioned. I have still not explored everything yet and will take your advice to sign up for updates. Thanks once again.
