Charles Thomas LITTLE b Walford 1889 (General)

by janfran @, Saturday, July 23, 2011, 19:22 (4876 days ago)

I am looking for information for Charles Thomas Little.
The Parish records on this site has his baptism at Walford on June 16th 1889, but in the memoranda it states he was born on 10th October 1889.
One of these dates must be transcribed wrongly.
I have his marriage to my Aunt, Elizabeth Mabel Badham in March 1909?
I know my aunt went on to marry Horace Vincent Collins in Birmingham in 1922.
I cannot find a death for Charles Thomas Little and I wonder if he was possibly killed in WW1.
I would be grateful if anyone has any information regarding his death.
Thank you

Thank you so much for your information especially about Charles death.
I have now found in the Parish records 2 children.
Doris Gwendolen May baptised 17th Feb 1915 she died age 3
Ernest Reginald Charles baptised 23rd Nov 1915.
I cannot find any more information about Ernest, marriage or death.
I now see that on Doris's baptism Charles is an engine driver, but on Ernest's his occupation is Private K.S.L.1[?]
These are 2 cousins of whom we had no knowledge even existed!
I would be most grateful for any information on Ernest.
Thank you

Thank you for the information on Ernest Little.
I live in Birmingham and can't believe I had a cousin living until 1973 who we knew nothing about.
Interesting he married a Collins when my aunt married Horace Collins in Birmingham.
I should keep an open mind I did look on FreeBMD but looked at the Ross District.
I have a living cousin from my aunts marriage to Horace Collins, unfortunately she doesn't want contact with my sister and myself.
I found out this week that my aunt was buried in what is now called a public grave, in those days a paupers grave.
I don't know why.
She died age 44 in 1935.

Thank you again for all the information.
I have now found 2 more children from her marriage to Horace Collins.
A boy Horace V Mar 1926 who died at a few months old.
A daughter Barbara E J born Mar 1925, I cannot find any marriage or death for her.
I found a death for Horace Vincent the father, the age is right but it is in Herefordshire, so I am not sure this is the correct one.
The Badham sisters all seem to have lived complex lives, by some of the information I have uncovered.
My Mother was the youngest, Amy Badham born in Ross in 1903.
All she ever told me about my Aunt Lizzie was that she died young, before I was born.
I am most grateful for the help you have been
Jane
