Cynthia - I am glad to be an aide memoire! However, when you mentioned Saxons, Vikings and Celts, I got excited thinking Sykes must have written another book. However, it turns out to be Blood of the Isles with a different title for publishing in the United States and Canada.

All of his books are interesting, and worth reading, because of his writing skill and determination to reach a wider audience. Genetics floored me at school - Bishop Mendel and all those pea plants - but I was able to understand and be excited by Sykes' writing. Enjoy Saxons, Vikings and Celts.
