Oliver KEAR b c1855/60 West Dean (General)

I am still new to this site and trying to figure it out so if I missed something forgive me. I posted before part of my family and how there was a mistake but I beleive I made the mistake. My g,g,granfather Oliver Kear(b-1855/60,West Dean) sailed to america aboard the Abyssinia and arrived on 12 May 1880. Every census record and family tree that I can find always lists him as the son of william kear and Jane Lewis. I have found 1 family tree which lists his father as Isaac Kear(b-1837,D-21 feb.1913) who married Mary Ann Wellington. I have tryed to contact the owner of the site but no luck.
If this is correct, then this particular line goes back to Adam de Keyrlun. My problem is trying to link Oliver to Isaac. Does anyone have any information that can help me? I can give you more dates if it will help.
Paul

Boy was I wrong! I had a niggling doubt, so I got FWK's marriage certificate in which he states his father's name as Thomas & his Home address as 144 Melbourne Street,
Gloucester. Thomas is at this address in the census in 1881 before the marriage in question & after in 1891. Convinces me! Sorry I misled other's as to FWK's parents being Isaac Kear & Mary Ann Wellington, but I myself was misled. Fortunately documents are factual. Better hunting, Sonia Kear

Jeremiah Kear possible mother Eleanor Kear

No trace of a legitimate birth seems to exist for Jeremiah KEAR,who's first marriage was 1831 to Elizabeth Shortell. The closest birth is that at Newland 17 April 1791, to ELEANOR Kear, it would appear that this may be illegitimate.Has anyone any trace of Eleanor birth, marriage or death? If I could get her parents that would be brilliant.Sonia.

There is considerable doubt that Oliver was Isaac Kear's son who married Mary Ann Wellington in Gloucester 9th Feb 1858. Their only son Frederick William b.4Q1859 was my Ggrandfather. There was a lot of trouble between Isaac & Mary Ann & her family leading to Isaac going to the Civil War in US. But he did know Oliver because descendents in Illinois know that they met. Oliver I believe married in 1881 at La Salle, Illinois to Ella Healey. Could it be that Oliver is the illegitimate son of Mary Ann, as her father's name on the marriage certificate to Isaac is Thomas. Isaac died in Streator, Illinois 21st Feb 1913. I have his military records as well if anyone wants them. Sonia Kear.
