I've been trying for quite a while, physically and on the web to find out where exactly a burial might have been held in Lydney. On my great grandfather's burial entry it is stated that he is buried by the above named fellow who I believe is the vicar of St Mary's in Lydney, yet the transcription of the graveyard (and indeed, after a few visits) doesn't yield his headstone! He wasn't a complete pauper, so is ther any chance he may have been buried somewhere else by the same man?
Can anyone help?

I'd like to try to help but sadly my time is limited.
I realise you may have posted on your previous threads, but please helpus to help you and please remind us who you G-Grandfather is, thanks. At the bare minimum please post his Burial Record for starters.
Re HB Parker, I looked to try to search for Minister's names via the Advanced Search Facility, but it appears we cannot yet do so ?. I realise we are already very lucky to have such a superb website, for which I am hugely grateful, but I was wondering how plausible it might be to consider adding such a feature to the Advanced Search, please ?.

He dies young, looking up the Inquest unusually for my researches he's there. I now see this is as per your previous thread re the horrible railway accident.
I would have thought such a prominent if not newsworthy death would result in a proper Burial as you clearly believe, perhaos even funded by the Railway Company in some way, although I see the Inquest doesnt appear to imply liability.

Having just visited St Mary's Graveyard in Lydney to look for my Henry STEPHENS & family headstones - (as I know from a Will, money was left to have one 'made') - we didn't realise how large (one corner section overgrown), the churchyard was, plus many headstones were peeling away - dependent on what stone was used - some were in better condition than others. It proved to be a fruitless search.
