John Hughes of St. Briavels (General)

by hughes @, Sunday, November 06, 2011, 21:25 (4769 days ago)

I would appreciate any information on my ancestor Greatx5 Grandfather John Hughes.

He married Rachel Harris at St Briavels in 1752. I have been unable to locate a
baptism for him in St Briavels. However, I have found a baptism for a John Hughes
in Penallt, Monmouthshire in 1731.

The record mentions his parents Thomas and Elizabeth the names that John gave to two of his children. Would anyone have any information regarding my line of enquiry.

Many thanks
Stephen Hughes

David

Many thanks for your reply.

Yes, that record could be a possibility.

By the way, are you connected to the Hughes's.

Best wishes
Steve
