Parish Records Register Reference (General)
When you've found the person you're looking for in the Parish Records section,and then click on 'more detail', in the section that says 'register reference', would that be a reference that the church uses itself, or would that be a reference for the plot number of the grave?
Anyone know?

The reference number relates to the relevant microfilm roll together with the frame number (page) from which the record was transcribed.
If you wish to check the original record on microfiche, having this reference number allows you to easily find the record you are interested in.
